I haven't watched F1 (certainly not flag to flag) in a number of years to be honest, but - and notwithstanding the fact that Hamilton took out the championship again - no knighthood warranted all the same) - this season has been compelling with upside down results and winner names, together with interesting races overall (about time) Is there a lesson to be learned here - and for all sports - that being too formulaic about the organization and venue selection, is harming the sport. Should finance and the highest bidder process be replaced with consideration being given to where is likely to provide the best racing spectacle - whether it is well known/iconic tracks or not - and go there more often than not?? MotoGP found the same when they went to Portomao where the race was one of the best ever!
