RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 01-05-2016 20:43 Amazed that the various play-offs already start in midweek, they don't hang about, do they? RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 02-05-2016 22:02 Well Dundee United's fate was finally sealed, Dundee winning 2-1 to relegate their neighbours. Given the new League Cup format for lower league sides, games start on 29th June, I guess the lower leagues want things done and dusted to give sides as much off season as possible Finals for Championship/League 1 and League 1/League 2 are 11th and 15th May, the Championship/League 1 final, both legs on BBC Alba. The Premiership/Championship play off matches are on BT Sport RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 03-05-2016 06:47 Poor Scottishbloke They did so well last year too, IIRC. Unless they just don't want to face Rangers RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 03-05-2016 21:10 In Championship/League One Playoffs first leg Ayr beat Peterhead 4-1 In League One/Two playoffs first leg Clyde beat Elgin 3-1 RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 04-05-2016 21:20 In Premiership/Championship play off first leg Raith beat Hibs 1-0. In Championship/League One play off first leg Stranraer beat Livingston 5-2 In League One/Two play Queens Park beat Cowdenbeath 2-0 RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 07-05-2016 20:53 Hibernian beat Raith, next play Falkirk Hamilton beat Dundee, Kilmarnock lost, so Hamilton are safe for another season (if you can call getting battered at Ibrox "safe" I guess). East Stirling drew their match with Edinburgh City. I like the set-up with the Highland & Lowland Leagues getting this reward of a chance of joining the big leagues. I just wish it wasn't East Stirling testing it out RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 07-05-2016 22:04 ^ this is second season of this highland/Eastern/League Two pyramid, Montrose beat Brora last year in final. Edinburgh City drew 1-1 with East Stirling both teams finishing with 10 men, Mbu for Edinburgh City and Donaldson fo East Stirling saw straight reds Stranraer progressed after extra time to relegate Livingston from Championship, Livingston won 4-1 in 90 minutes to level aggregate at 6-6 but Stranraer scored twice in extra time to lose 4-3 on day but progress 8-6 on aggregate. Ayr United beat Peterhead 2-1 to win 6-2 on aggregate. Cowdenbeath won 1-0 on the day but lost 2-1 on aggregate to be relegated from League One. Clyde won 2-0 over Elgin to win 5-1 on aggregate. Hibs won 2-0 over Raith Rovers to progress 2-1 on aggregate to face Falkirk. Kilmarnock are all but down after losing to Partick 2-0 coupled with Hamilton beating Dundee meaning Hamilton need a point from last two games to be mathematically safe RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 08-05-2016 06:28 (07-05-2016 22:04 )mikedafc Wrote: ^ this is second season of this highland/Eastern/League Two pyramid, Montrose beat Brora last year in final. My bad Quote:Kilmarnock are all but down after losing to Partick 2-0 coupled with Hamilton beating Dundee meaning Hamilton need a point from last two games to be mathematically safeThe gap is 7 points, Hamilton ARE safe. And Killie might win their play-off. RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 08-05-2016 20:33 must have looked at it when Killie were drawing, oops! It is believed he was hit by a train in an apparent suicide. A minutes silence will be observed before C!yde V Elgin play off final first leg |
