Regardless of how little the government knew about the virus they willingly put nurses and doctors in a position of danger with very little protection regarding PPE.
Why would anything think they give two fucks what happens to us all as long as the economy gets going again...?
It's always going to flare up in certain places as long as ignorance is rife. bladewave

Leicester's mayor describes Government's approach to local lockdown as "Whack - a - mole"

Pretty much sums up how I would describe the complete handling of the virus by the Govt from start to finish....

^ Johnson himself used the phrase in the same context back in May: https://news.sky.com/video/coronavirus-prime-minister-says-well-be-doing-whack-a-mole-on-local-flare-ups-11986745

After watching tonights Panarama programme. I've come to the conclusion that the government have made a total balls up of dealing with the covid epidemic. And they still haven't got ahead of the situation.

On tonight Sky report on the continued lockdown in Leicester. It mentioned that it's probable that many clothing manufactures have been working throughout the previous weeks lockdown. With no PEP and no social distancing. It looks like sweat shops still exist in England in 2020.

Leicester City are still allowed to play the remainder of their matches both home and away.

I can confirm that this is true. Earlier this evening I purchased a Mars Bar and a bag of crisps from such an establishment.

'Gilead’s CEO said that a five-day course of remdesivir will cost private health insurers in the US $3,120, and will cost governments of developed nations, including the US, $2,340'

The US has bought up the entire world supply of remdesivir for the next three months.

I think the problem will be is that we'll be fucking screwed anyway, because once we develop it and it works, two things will happen ; -

!) The rest of the world will be after and we'll be forever supplying the world and there won't be enough for the UK population. The other big problem will be how many bloody strains of it are out there that we still don't know about?

2) It'll be so expensive it'll never be affordable to everybody or to the NHS and many wouldn't be able to have it free regularly like the flu jab, as they would set such a criteria for it like the flu jab.
I know I can have the flu jab for free because of certain health conditions but GP's criteria doesn't allow me to have so I have to pay for the fucking thing. It'll be the fucking same thing with the vaccine for this. and it'll be likely you can only have it if you can afford to pay for it.
