That makes sense. But there could be a knock-on effect - if BS want to differentiate this channel from the other unencrypted BS freeview channels, but can only reach a certain level of explicitness, might that not entail 'taming' the current channels even further to establish the 'new' one as properly different, and 'harder'? (Temporarily, at least). As Freeview and Sky currently broadcast lots of the same channels, Sky's output may be affected too.

This encrypted channel will need to be sufficiently different to get people to pay for it, though. I guess the precise nature of what you get that is different or 'extra' over the other freeview channels will determine its success.

You make some good points. I would be willing to pay for this if they showed full frontal nudity.

Yep, they've just run a quick promo for 'Babestation Xtreme' Ch 96, which looks like including b/g stuff if the pics are anything to go by.

This only for freeviewers

If that's a question, admin has already answered it:

I'm still unsure whether this is a good idea...

RE: Babestation One to encrypt? - vila - 01-04-2010 01:38

I'm not unsure at all. I think it's a very bad idea. To take away one of the few channels we have on Freeview and replace it with something for which there's probably no market doesn't seem very sensible to me.

I totally agree and don't think it will work at all,
especially:
1) when they are charging 10 pounds.
2) A lot of the girls we regularly see won't be intrested.

There ends my interest as I am a satelite man!!!

admin said it was only a trial though, so if there's no market the channel's not going to last long anyway.
