Here goes Manchester

RE: London Riots - SYBORG666 - 09-08-2011 19:16

Update on affected cities:
London
Bristol
Birmingham
Liverpool
Manchester
Leeds
Nottingham.
According to police where I live in Nottingham, they've put the area on alert.
If the little fuckers try and start on my place, I won't be going down without a fight.

I'm so sick and tired of apologists saying that its not the fault of the kids rioting, if they had something to do it wouldn't be happening. I managed to get through my teens without torching shops and cars. I say once the culprits are found, if they live at council accommodation, evict them and then stop the dss money until the debt is repaid. They are pure scum and make me ashamed to be english

What a stupid statement, there are tens of thousands of Police officers in Britain; to make such a general accusation against them all is ridiculous.

This whole thing just smacks of overreaction from people who share your unwarranted sentiment of damning all Police as racists. "Oh, Black man gets shot by Police, oh well it MUST be racist then mustn't it? There's no other possible explanation."

Unfortunately these pathetic riots have completed pissed on the original protest and the grief of a woman who has lost her fiance. The riots are not in ANY WAY justfied or understandable, anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

Hopefully we've seen the worst, and now the Police have had time to organise they'll hopefully be on top of it. Problem is, the Police have been so neutered over the years with political correctness, human rights bullshit and bullying media campaigns that it's not surprising they've been hesitant and much too hands-off so far.

In my experience, the police are racist. The number of times my friends and I have been 'randomly' stopped and searched is a joke. They way they talk and behave to us is unbelievable, and I live in a quiet, relatively affluent part of Surrey.

Until they explain what happened, then people will continue to think this way. He was in a mini cab, surrounded him, the policeman that got shot was shot by a police issued bullet, and yet they still killed him....very strange, no? That's partly why they rioted.

They aren't hesitant because of PC-ness and human rights etc, they are scared of the rioters (and I think most would be) there is no point them trying to break the riots up if they are totally outnumbered. They run people away from a certain area and they just circle round and loot the same place 10 minutes later!

No way will 16,000 coppers make much of a difference, rioters will be hard to stop if they are as determined as yesterday. The army needs to go in, and stop them with force so they realise that what they are doing is unacceptable and pathetic

Here's a link to an interview with two of the girls who took part in the rioting in Croydon yesterday. It was apparently "good fun", and the government's fault "Conservatives, yeah, whatever who it is I don't know". Then they say it's the rich people's fault why all this has happened, and they're "showing the rich people we can do what we want" Rolleyes

Well girls, if you were to go to school, work hard and get an education, then you might stand a chance of getting a decent job and being rich one day instead of having to go through all this shit. Oh, but that's too much effort, isn't it?

So that's 'all Police' then is it?

I know of (white) people who have also been stopped by Police for no reason, myself included; it's an inconvenience, they have a duty and like it or not, profiling isn't entirely unjustified.

It just seems that there are still certain types of people in society who love to scream racism at any opportunity. Much like these riots have overshadowed the importance of a peaceful protest, the overeager screaming of racism doesn't help when there's a genuine racial grievence.

No they shot him, not 'killed him'. There's a difference.

As far as I'm concerned, if someone has a gun and they're deemed a threat, sorry but fucking shoot them.

When I was younger I got searched plenty of times, I dealt with it, it fucking happens, to blame it on your race is a cop out. It's shit like that that has made this country such a fucking mess. Police can't do they job due to fear of been branded racist.

As for the police shooting, he had a gun so deserved to be shot and he doesn't have to fire, all he has to do is pose a threat, what should the coppers have done wait till he shot one of them?
