It's not strange to protect tweets. I know a lot of girls are doing this because of real weirdos pestering them with bizarre crap.
A lot of ordinary people I know doing it because of trolls & other weird stuff.
Its a case of the nutters & idiots spoiling things etc...

I probably only average a couple of calls a month to the channels in general; budgetary concerns of course, which additionally take into account that I am a long-term caller of some of the ladies who work on the phones for xxXpanded, from well before they took on their TV license. £10 for a lot of private chat with someone very familiar often weighs heavily against a few minutes of shared time with a favourite lady on the screen. But god bless Isabella, for if you haven't noticed she's been one of the ladies who's been jumping on to the phones during the day every now and then (Ashton has been another). I spoke to her for the hell of it a few weeks ago and have had several whales of times since. This morning I followed up a vague agreement that I would look out for her when she did the webcam thing - not really my scene, and that archetypal £10 only gaining three minutes or so of time with her is one of the key reasons, but by crikey, she went all out in the time available! Huge fun to chat to, and delectable to look at, whatever she may be doing at the time...
