Today's game is South Africa Vs Canada which kicks off at 11:15 BST, is a repeat of one the rugby world cup's most brutal games in 1995. Dubbed the 'Battle of Boet Esrasmus' in which three players were sent off.

even though the Argentinians are out, they are going out on a good note.
Then it will be a vital game for Scotland and possibly very physical one at that.
I would say Russia despite being bottom could spring a surprise and take a very good scalp in Scotland, but very much hope Scotland will win as it will make things interesting in Pool A. A win by 10-15 points either side.

A nice start to the day, just gutted it was so early as it would have been nice to crack a beer or three.
Russia just couldn't get into it, too many mistakes which we capitalised on...which was nice

The Group C decider between England and France on Saturday has apparently been called off due to Typhoon Hagibis predicted to make landfall this weekend.
Both countries will receive 2 points each thereby ensuring England top the group with France in 2nd place. No news yet on any other fixture cancellations.
Scotland's match against Japan is due to take place in the same stadium on Sunday.
If that match also gets cancelled it would send Japan through and Scotland out.

It would be a shame for Scotland if that was the case, but it is the first time in 32 years that this has happened, and World Rugby have never used the rules that were put in place for this type of situation before now. I think it is a wise decision but at the same time with the schedule as it is it would not have been an easy decision to take. Hope all teams that are affected will be safe.
New Zealand's game against Italy is also off. It is the first time in World Cup history that a World Cup match has been cancelled.

Why would the host nation risk getting knocked out when they can just cancel their match and automatically qualify for the knockouts? I trust that the people making the final decision about this are properly independent.

A win with a difference of just 8 points is the only thing standing between us getting through, so it is bullshit if they cancel it.
For me it's simple, if a win wouldn't make any difference to elimination, then fine, cancel it and call a draw, it still sucks, but it doesn't mean that the teams get screwed too badly. Those in charge won't be quickly forgiven if we get knocked out like this, being eliminated without playing is unacceptable when there is a chance to progress.
