Spain want about 15 million euros in back taxes from Shakira (for the period of 2012-2014) when she was a resident in Spain.
They are threatening to jail her for up to 8 years if found guilty.

How odd, potential tax benefits aside, unless she was an avid golfer, I doubt she chose it. He does owe her though, so...
I mean I wouldn't be surprised if it was a slight by him, rather than a choice she or her kids made, it's certainly strange imo.
