RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - Boomerangutangangbang - 14-02-2022 12:14 Burrows has a massive future ahead of him, he doesn't have the superstars at every position to call on like some teams, & for the time being he has to rely on big plays. He did well in getting the ball to his receivers quickly to avoid too many sacks after being the most sacked QB throughout the season. On the other side of the ball Stafford generally got much more time to find his receivers, but still had issues with interceptions. neither are good, a sack will stop a drive, but at least you get to punt the ball away, it's the lesser of the 2 evils, but you don't really want your most important player taking too many hits. The Rams still won despite the turnovers, which is usually a deciding factor. The Rams have assembled a team by trading for experienced players, but it's not always a sustainable method. Stan Kroenke has certainly put his money were his mouth is for the Rams with the most expensive stadium in the world. It looks like Arsenal are a side project to him, after the failed ESL, he hasn't made many friends on this side of the pond, & has hardly shown his face. RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - lovebabes56 - 16-02-2022 16:02 So do we now agree then that Rams are now the team to beat next season - and the Bengals likely to be the team that might stop them in their tracks given they went that close on Sunday? Ort is there another team better than thr Bengals that might have the power plays to match the Rams both offensively and Ddefensively? RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - Rammyrascal - 14-03-2022 13:57 Tom Brady has reversed his decision to retire & will play for Tampa Bay next season RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - Boomerangutangangbang - 14-03-2022 14:39 Brady has absolutely nothing to prove, he still has the skills, but will he happy to be competitive. He must clearly want to get back to another Super Bowl, & the chance of another ring. RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - Rammyrascal - 22-04-2022 21:21 The 2022 NFL Draft starts next Friday 29th April at 1am RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - Rammyrascal - 28-04-2022 19:25 A reminder the 2022 NFL Draft starts tonight at 1am uk time on Sky Sports RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - Regenerated - 28-04-2022 19:51 Who gets the most picks? Does finishing higher in the league award a team more draft picks? Who do you think / hope gets who? RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - Boomerangutangangbang - 28-04-2022 21:12 ^^ I've forgotten how this works, exactly, but I believe, it's equal picks per teams, one pick each per round. Basically, the lowest rank team will get the No,1 pick in round 1, not sure of the order after that in subsequent rounds. It gets complicated when teams wave picks & trade up for higher ranked players. Not a completely foolproof system, the general concept is to try to bring some measure of parity to the league, which works to a degree, obviously there's a number of factors, such as coaches etc. Once a team lands a star QB then there will always be a period of success, but the draft is a decent system, & you don't tend to get the same 5 or 6 teams dominating year after year, as we get in our Premier League Football. I'm sure Rammy is more clued up than I am, regarding the draft. That's actually a good simple summary of how the NFL Draft works Boomer & and this is coming from someone who has been into the NFLfor 37 years when the 2022-2023 season starts. I'll start the 2022-2023 NFL season thread tomorrow RE: NFL 2021-2022 Season - Boomerangutangangbang - 28-04-2022 21:34 ^^ Thanks Rammy, that's me in a nutshell, simple. |
