RE: Dr Who - ShandyHand - 21-12-2016 22:02 ^ I agree with the general sentiment wholeheartedly - I shall be getting the blu-ray in February myself - but if you are referring to the audio used on these discs then it's not really a "find" as such. Graham Strong's recordings have been widely known about for over 20 years (they've been used on other Who product in the past). And other home soundtrack recordings of early Who have been in circulation for longer than that. The only reason we are getting these new animations now is because BBC America decided to put money into their production. So whether we get to see any more missing stories done this way could well depend on this one's commercial success in that territory unfortunately. RE: Dr Who - rpj316 - 21-12-2016 22:41 By find I just meant it was a great purchase Thanks for the info though RE: Dr Who - Regenerated - 22-12-2016 00:21 (21-12-2016 22:02 )ShandyHand Wrote: ^ I agree with the general sentiment wholeheartedly - I shall be getting the blu-ray in February myself - but if you are referring to the audio used on these discs then it's not really a "find" as such. Yes - in my post I was hoping for that very thing, that other missing stories can be restored in animation form using the existing audio. For me it's important to have the collection complete. I was just trying to be as positive as I could with the Doctor Who DVDs. I fully accept that future productions will depend upon the selling success of the stories they've already restored. It was just a bit of hope from me in what seems a really dreary, depressing world sometimes. RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 25-12-2016 18:48 Really enjoyed this years Xmas special. Only dissapointment was the new companion Bill not appearing, other than that loved the comicbook vibe & feel to it RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 25-12-2016 21:18 I thought it was alright, actually. This may be a condition of relief at having to wait 12 months for a new episode.
