shame their first win of the premiership after waiting 30 years will always have an asterix beside it. maybe next year they might win it properly.
or not.

Why will it have an asterisk ? if they dont complete the season it would but they are going to unless something really bad happens

Wigan have gone into administration and will get an automatic 12 point taken off them, which should send them to league 1,
this is shameful on the EFL again as only 4 weeks ago the people who have just taken over Wigan passed the EFL fit and proper person test yet they clearly had on money at all,

Wigan had said it had also recorded a net loss of £9m - just how could they pass the fit and proper test if they had no money? Hope Wigan does not become another Bury

Looks like Dave Whelan is looking into rescuing them
RE: Football Banter - winsaw - 01-07-2020 12:21
the sad part is i think a lot of sides are going to follow Wigan and find they just cant survive with out the money from fans coming through the gate, will be amazed if 92 sides start next season when ever that maybe,

Just hope he can put a rescue package together. I think things were pretty stable with Wigan when he was chairman. Maybe this can kick start a revolution where some British businessmen take back control of British football clubs for too long the game has relied on foreign buyers now it needs a bit of good British investment i it to probably save some club when the foreign money finally runs out.

In tonights fixture Sheffield Utd narrowly miss as the ball hits the side netting.
On commentary in response to increased crowd noise "I think that half the imaginary crowd thought that was in the back of the net"
