It should also must be pointed out that without the contribution of the SKY customers that BS would never have even gotten off the ground. At the time it went to also transmit on the freeview EPG it has now become a sleek well oiled machine as opposed to it's very humble beginning which consisted of a very small box and extremely low production values. SKY customers allowed BS to grow into what we now see at present.

Sky is not a 'Small Fry'.
49% of homes in the UK have pay TV (this also includes those using other shitty providers like Virgin, BT TV etc)
37% of UK homes have some form of satellite TV which includes Sky Pay TV, Sky Freesat and Freesat from BBC/ITV
And 100% of people with a digital TV have Freeview...

Only 47% of people have 'Freeview' on their main TV, (the correct term is DTT). Not all people have a TV antenna and if they have Sky / Other Satellite they will just use that instead.

Just because all TVs are 'Freeview' compatible, it does not mean everyone uses it or are able to use it.
They should just get rid of 'Freeview' as it is environmentally unfriendly as their are 100s of land transmitters which only cover 90% of the UK as opposed to just a few satellites in the Sky which cover 98%

The amount of rival channels in babe shows is about to increase for the first time in years.
The amount of channels has actually decreased in the past 6 months or so. Red Light Central has lost 2 channels and XPanded has last 1. Sin TV makes no difference as its replacing an S66 slot.
Rivals stations not channels total.

^^ well I have Freeview, Sky and Freesat. I only watch/record on the Web, much easier than fuckin about with dvd/hd recorders.
Bs know the score and can afford to broadcast on Freeview, other channels can't or wont

we had bangbabes and partyland on freeview for a while
RE: Babestation - General Chat & Discussion - The Silent Majority - 04-04-2015 21:15
If they're going to split one of the channels, it should be BsXtra. Then the freeview show wouldn't be held back by the Ofcom licence on Sky 908.

Yeah, and Elite and Rlc for a while... look whats happend to those chanels, They cant even afford to keep some of their Sky channels
Bs know what they are doing, they are the first and last and always
RE: Babestation - General Chat & Discussion - Scottishbloke - 04-04-2015 21:50
Well I think the majority of people on this forum are all agreed on the fact that Babestation is the best and most successful channel out there (well apart from the small band of members who still live in the land of denial)
My only criticism towards Babestation is as always their arrogance towards the SKY customers with the Lori stint only being available on freeview as the perfect example of this.
Even if every member on this forum does have freeview I know quite a lot of members who are unable to receive a signal so this has to be reflected in the approach shown by BS as everybody who has SKY is able to receive all the channels so freeview has still got a long way to go to be on a par with them.
Lastly so settle all our nerves tonight BS and put on another good show on BS1 just like it was last month at this time without the exclusion of its long standing SKY customers.

Well there are around 25 million households in the UK that watch TV on one platform or another, ie Sky, freesat, cable, digital terrestrial freeview etc, only around 2.6 million of the 25 million households are Sky only household viewers, whereas there is around 10.2 million households that are freeview TV only viewers, there is a overlap of around 6.2 million households that have both Sky and freeview. So the number of Sky only viewers is quite small compared to the freeview only viewers and the viewers that can watch both on Sky and freeview, ,
So the number of Sky only viewers that couldn't see Lori on BS1 on freeview could have been quite small, so maybe the BS1 Sky only viewers could be regarded as small fry as far as BS is concerned ? .
