RE: Snooker - Joannis - 01-06-2025 14:10 Q School Event 2 Anthony Hamilton went out in the last 64, Alfie Burdon and Stuart Carrington both lost in the last 32. Alfie has the Champion of Champions to look forward of course, but apart from that all 3 will have to rely on wildcard invitations to enter professional tournaments in the new season unless they can find some other way back on the tour. David Grace and Ian Burns are back on the tour, they won their respective finals. Irishman Fergal Quinn, and Englishman Connor Benzey were the other 2 final winners, and both gain professional status for the first time. RE: Snooker - Joannis - 05-07-2025 21:10 Fantastic start to the season from the women players! Bai Yulu and Reanne Evans both won their British Open qualifier to get through to the televised stages in September. Ng On-Yee topped her Championship League group to go through to the later stages of the competition. RE: Snooker - Snooks - 05-07-2025 21:47 Chuffed to bits for Reanne Evans and Bai Yulu. Well done to both of em. RE: Snooker - Joannis - 10-07-2025 07:20 ITV won't be renewing it's contract to show live snooker from next year. It is still scheduled to show this year's British Open in September, and Champion of Champions. Edit: This year's Champion of Champions takes place from 10 -16 November. Channel 5 have bought the rights to show the Players Championship, the Tour Championship and the British Open in 2026. The tv rights for next year's Champion of Champions are still up for grabs. RE: Snooker - Snooks - 23-07-2025 23:22 The less said about The Championship League the better. I'm off for a period of mourning for snooker. RE: Snooker - Joannis - 24-07-2025 07:24 Maguire's on fire!! Stephen Maguire wins the Championship League to win his first ranking tournament in over 5 years and his 7th in total. He was leading Joe O'Connor 2-0 in the final, but O'Connor made a fighting break of 99 to pull a frame back. Maguire sealed a 3-1 victory in the next frame with a match winning break of 89. RE: Snooker - Doddle - 06-08-2025 13:56 John Higgins is fronting some new WPBSA rival, to further the interests of players etc RE: Snooker - HannahsPet - 06-08-2025 14:02 sounds something like the darts players did to the BDO in the 90s which led to the PDC wonder if it means the same thing RE: Snooker - HannahsPet - 06-08-2025 14:05 (06-08-2025 13:56 )Doddle Wrote: John Higgins is fronting some new WPBSA rival, to further the interests of players etc sounds like all the major players have signed up to it https://www.totallysnookered.com/sport/snooker/players/top-snooker-stars-including-ronnie-osullivan-give-backing-to-new-breakaway-players-association-5259039 RE: Snooker - Snooks - 08-09-2025 09:02 https://x.com/WeAreWST/status/1964782426204570048?t=NFE12Ra7zkxA9x9APpbo0g&s=19 ![]() |
