This story on my local news programme made me smile, as a Dutch cargo vessel has run aground on a sandbank in the Humber Estuary. After 3 attempted efforts to free it using tugs, the tide conditions are unsuitable for further efforts for the next month, but the crew intend to sit it out.
The vessel is named H & S Wisdom,
maybe if the crew had shown a little more wisdom they wouldn't have got stranded in the first place.

There's an ongoing incident happening in the North Sea near Hull.
An oil tanker has collided with a cargo vessel and the tanker is believed to be on fire.
Lifeboats has been sent from several locations on the Yorkshire coast.

Be interesting to see how they managed to collide with the transponders they carry these days - unless of course it's a "hidden" Russian tanker with its transponder switched off.
EDIT - Doesn't seem to be a Russian tanker and was seemingly at anchor.
