Printer - bombshell - 04-09-2013 12:02 Help please, yesterday i went to print a photo and got a message "Printer Offline"(I have a Canon 3in1 WiFi Printer) yet when i tried a test page i got the message "Printer on Line" and my printer printed off the test page,i tried a document and that was printed off successfully as well, yet when i try to print a photo,i get the above message(offline),any ideas please. RE: Help Needed - Technical - Digital Dave - 04-09-2013 16:47 Are you definitely using the same driver or process to print the photo as with the other documents? It might be defaulting to another method for photo printing, such a cloud or bluetooth. When my wifi printer starts being stupid I usually reboot the wifi router and that usually seems to sort it out. RE: Help Needed - Technical - bombshell - 22-09-2013 12:55 Help please, trying to add a Laptop to my network,i am typing in the Network key as it is written on the base of my Netgear router, but my Laptop keeps telling me it is wrong. RE: Help Needed - Technical - terence - 22-09-2013 13:22 maybe something here might help: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=netgear+router+won't+accept+network+key&rlz=1C1ARAB_enGB482GB493&oq=netgear+&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j69i59j69i60l2j0j5.7945j0&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=laptop+wont+accept+netgear+router+network+key RE: Help Needed - Technical - Digital Dave - 22-09-2013 13:31 Are you sure the network wireless password hasn't been changed since the router was installed? If it isn't working and you have another computer available I'd suggest logging into the router and changing it. You can also connect your new laptop to the router by Ethernet cable to get on the network and then change it. There should be a numerical web address on the router (usually 192.168.0.1), so if you enter that in a browser and then use 'admin' as the username with the password specified on the router you should get into the menu system and be able to change the wireless password. It will be in wireless settings and may be referred to as a passphrase or network key. RE: Help Needed - Technical - bombshell - 22-09-2013 16:33 Thanks for the replies guys,as you can tell i am no genius when it comes to Techno, what i did was downloaded Netgear genie, and found out i could transfer settings using a memory stick,do not know how i did it but it has worked. RE: Help Needed - Technical - Digital Dave - 22-09-2013 17:35 Sounds interesting! Just for future reference could you explain what you did? I have a Netgear router myself - I'll download the genie software as it looks useful. RE: Help Needed - Technical - kruse - 22-09-2013 17:45 Forgive me if this has already been covered - is there an application that can convert wmv files to mp4 so i can load into iTunes (using real player)? |
