RE: RIP Bang Babes - kasone - 27-11-2010 09:10 There are too many hypocrites on this forum, one minute they love all the mistakes by the girls and next minute when one of these channels get shut down, they moan about what they should and shouldnt of done, i dont remember one person complaining when the mistakes was made, but now they closed the channel down, we see lots of "I don't condone what this channel did" ect. Another point to make, if your a parent and your worried your child will see this type of show, well my suggestion would be put a child lock on these channels that way they dont get to watch them, with sky you can block any channel that you deem unfit for your child, now I would expect that freeview has some sort of parental lock as well. I watched these shows when lots of mistakes and mishaps happened, I quite enjoyed the shows put on for us, sneaky glimpses here and there and I expect that a good majority of people on this forum also enjoyed the shows when mistakes happened, these mistakes and mishaps arent just related to Bangmedia, all channels have made mistakes and with these channels being shut down and losing their licences could have a vast effect on other channels. Like for example going back to a fully dressed presenter during the day, no knicker removal at night ect. If that did happen more members on this forum would complain or whine about it RE: RIP Bang Babes - gazfc - 27-11-2010 09:43 They haven't had the licence revoked because of 'mistakes' it's been revoked due to blatant rule brakes, so maybe you should of read the thread before you called us hypocrites RE: RIP Bang Babes - JackGough - 27-11-2010 09:59 (27-11-2010 01:51 )mr williams Wrote: Mr BibbleBabble makes a very good point - if you read the Ofcom adjudication against BB back in August some of the infractions took place between "01.15 and 02.25" in the morning. Most of us would wonder what the f*** they were doing up that late (unless playing with themselves whist watching the girls) BUT some of the infractions took place during the afternoon. No, the most recent breaches were happening in the AM when children were likely to be getting up and ready for school. http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/enforcement/broadcast-bulletins/breach-26-november-2010/ Quote:Early Bird, 9 November 2010 06:41 to 08:43 OK, it could be argued that such material is not suitable for general daytime mainstream TV. I think we could all agree that the majority of the population would not want to see that type of broadcast during the day mixed in with normal channels. If you do agree then you should also agree by default that there is a need to seperate the channels from the rest by some form of consent being given. Whether that is hiding the adult section of the EPG by default on SKY boxes, or PIN protecting every channel (as they do with 12A+ movies which are broadcast in the daytime), that is up for debate. OFCOM, I presume, have the power to recommend/order a move to such restriction. Presumably the channels do too. Maybe someone more informed on the topic can advise if that is possible. Once BANG take their medicine, if they are still around, that could be a potential solution to the broadcasting of borderline material such as that described above during daytime hours. It would not be unreasonable to suggest that these channels be PIN protected during the day like movies unsuitable for young children are. RE: RIP Bang Babes - kasone - 27-11-2010 10:01 yeah that is my point no one complained when they broke the rules on this forum, but now they come out the closet and start to lay the blame, so yes hypocrites, did you watch the shows when these rules was broken and did you complain, I dont think so, I guessing that you enjoyed it when they broke the rules. RE: RIP Bang Babes - Rammyrascal - 27-11-2010 10:03 exactly bangbabes have been blatantly breaking the rules, 60 times in 18 months and nothing to do with mistakes. bang had enough warnings to get their act together but didnt so no wonder ofcom had enough and took licences RE: RIP Bang Babes - kasone - 27-11-2010 10:16 On that list of rules broken, how many of the channels do that every day, all of them, you cant tell me that one channel doesnt break those rules, what are the girls wearing today, bikinis, underwear, are they laying down or bending over, yes most of them are, and to make a point on babestation is Hannah Clandon right this minute, in a bra and tights, girating her hips on the bed, elite, rachel stroking her ass, is this more than what bangbabes did, might be slightly less but it is still sexual and this is what the channels all do, every day. So now your calling them 'rule brakes' and not 'mistakes' make your mind up as there's quite a differences between the 2. And to answer your question, no I didnt complain but why would I, I'm not a channel owner so I dont know what can and what cant be broadcast. And most of the other channels have received warnings for various rule breaks but they dont just stick their head in the sand and ignore them. If ofcom saw that bang was at least making an effort they probably would of left them alone. If ofcom really wanted to censor everything and kill off the babechannels they would of done it by now. RE: RIP Bang Babes - TonTon - 27-11-2010 11:01 I agree with the last two comments. The only reason the license was revoked was because Bang Babes simply did nothing, didn't play the game and basically just ignored Ofcom, which gave Ofcom enough rope to hang them out to dry. Very, very silly all they had to do was to be seen to be making an effort. That said for a channel thats supposed to be gone they have a very good webshow on at the moment. Perhaps there will be a quick sale, change of management and a new company shortly and they will be back on Sky again shortly. All it would take is different magangement and seemly different share holders. Companies do that all the time! So I wouldn't RIP them just yet! If a pub landlord looses his license he just gets his wife to apply and bingo the pub is open... to the punters there is no difference! RE: RIP Bang Babes - Rammyrascal - 27-11-2010 11:02 exactly gazfc if ofcom wanted to kill the babeshows off they would have done. also as you say the other shows have had warnings but unlike bang they didnt ignore them RE: RIP Bang Babes - bigguy01 - 27-11-2010 11:23 damned if you do damned if you dont. live by the sword die by the sword. hopefully they now where the lines are now, maddness line from baggy trousers "bend not break the rules" rules are meant to be bent not broken. yes push the rules to limits but dont break them. |
