Why do they continue to pick Woakes,his bowling isn't up to International level & his batting at number 8 shouldn't be needed that often especially in a T20 match.
It could be the Warwickshire connection with Ashley Giles.He bowled one over which went for 19,which can happen to anyone in T20,but the captain Morgan didn't have any faith to bring him back.

A big day for James Tredwell was ruined by the weather,Morgan revealed that he has been nursing a broken finger for a few games,so Tredwell took over as captain,=.He was the obvious choice,Pietersen reclaced Morgan in the side but will never be considered as captain again.Woakes was dropped & Briggs came in.
England lost the toss & were put in due to the threat of rain,Lumb got off the mark,came back for a second run & was out next balls caught by Brendan McCullum in the slips off the bowling of McClenaghan.Then the rain came & the game was finally called off a little after 9pm.
Overall New Zealand are always competitive in ODI & T20 cricket,& are showing signs of improvement in Test cricket under the captaincy of McCullum.
England have been short of their best & need to get tougher,Australia wont be a pushover.
