David Villa agree to join Atletico Madrid for £4m paid in 2 lots 2m this season and 2m next, very good deal this! Suprised a premier league team did not get him! That is bargain!

He's a good replacement for Falcao and they only have to pay his fee in instalments, which is a bargain.

Christian Benteke has officially handed in a transfer request to Aston Villa. Yet ANOTHER example of a near complete lack of loyalty in English football. One good season, and he (and his agents) reckon he's the hottest thing since Gerd Muller.

As far as I know it is true. He has signed to play as part of the 'Heroes' team who will play in Rio's testimonial. Would be great if he turned out to be a top striker too with that pace lol

Because playing matches is much better for the development of a young goalkeeper than sitting on the bench watching matches.
