If he is your number 1 leftback for 10 years or so then I guess it's money well spent, I totally do not see why we are paying 30m for Lallana though, stinks of another Downing to me, thought we would have learned by now

Correction, there is no such team as Athletic Bilboa, the team you are probably thinking of is Athletic Bilbao from the Basque region of Spain.

I think he meant Athletico BilbobImportantCool

robben would be a great signing for any prem clubs but as he is 30 nobody will pay much money for him, he could still be good for 2 more years though, clubs need to think about the present as well not just the long term future, £30m is way too much to spend on a player shaw's age, youth is overrated but that is the way the game is

It doesn't seem to be mentioned here, but there are reports that Atletico Madrid have accepted a £25m bid from Man Utd for their centre back Miranda.

As far as I know thats not been confirmed but he would be a good target. My understanding was that we are going for Feyenoord's Janmaat who has been very impressive for the Netherlands this world cup.
As ever I only believe it when United confirm anything officially.
Today alone the press are reporting that we are after Robben, Arturo Vidal (along with Arsenal), Raphael Varane and want to re-sign Paul Pogba. However, we apparently face a blow in buying Mateo Kovacic from Inter as they do not want to sell. Rolleyes

Other reports say Man Utd have agreed a deal with Feyenoord for Dutch international defender Stefan de Vrij.
