Worthy second? Increased her public profile? Well if claiming motherhood makes you better than your rival & embellishing your CV are deemed good things I suppose so. In my opinion she showed she lacked judgement, not just in what she said in that interview but in the intemperate tweets she sent afterwards & her attack on the journalist and newspaper. If she's lucky she'll get a job in May's government and have 4 years to prove she can actually deliver in the glare of the public eye.

I would think Leadsom does merit a promotion. Certainly more than old duds like Liam Fox or IDS do. Michael Gove will probably hang on in there, too.

May & Gove seemingly dislike each other intensely so if he does get a job I hope it's the Brexit role so he gets to sort out the crap he created.

Yeah, for all the media crap about Labour splits, the Tories are just as split, and there's no guarantee that their troubles are over.

It's carnage mate. There's no point going into denial and hoping the voters won't notice.

OK, there IS a split, but it's not magically going to go away if Eagle or Smith get manipulated into the leadership. It would have been more honest if the New Labour lot had split off in 1994.
