A bit of trivia the painting of the Enterprise D in the new trailer was done by a Star Trek fan, before this the artist did fan art design of Rikers ship USS Titan the design was made canon as it made its appearance in Star Trek Lower Decks.

Ep 1 “The Star Gazer” Season 2
Fantastic start to the second season, this opener genuinely felt like Star Trek and a follow up to Next Gen, definitely was giving Star Trek First Contact vibes.
Really hope the rest of eps are just as strong.

What a fantastic start to season 2!!!!! Best Picard episode yet packed full of Star Trek Easter eggs, Jeri Ryan being an absolute badass (can't believe she's 54!!!!!!), Whoopi Goldberg back as Guinan and Jon De Lancie is also back as Q who is as mischievous as ever

Little Easter Egg the actress that played the Admiral who gave Picard the comm badge and told him about the message has been Star Trek before she’s been in Next Gen a few times and also appeared in DS9 too all tho she’s always playing a different character each time. It’s nice touch bringing the actress back.
