If we had a vote for the next PM (instead of voting for a MP)............... then the only person that I'd trust would be Caroline Lucas

RE: Next PM - GMach1 - 10-06-2019 17:48

Well Messrs Hancock, Raab and Hunt have nailed their proverbial colours to the PM mast and given speeches and press conferences I wonder how long it will be before Bluster Johnson comes out of the shadows - he is leading the way with 57 MP's backing him(the toadying lackeys!Big Grin)

That should please all his rich friends.

And the money is going to come from the Brexit contigency fund.

He's now gone to the top of the list, above Jeremy Hunt and Michael Gove as the person who would be totally inept in running the country.

Throughout my lifetime I can hardly think of a PM who hasn't been inept in one way or another.
Mind you ineptitude has different levels WinkRolleyes.
PMs lurch from moderately inept to extremely inept to mind bogglingly inept to totally inept. In the case of Boris he rather runs the risk of being mind bogglingly inept as well as having his priorities all wrong.
Oh dear Rolleyesbladewave.

At present there are supposed to be about 313 Tory MP's.

Boris has about 57 backing him. But will he get further support when the number of candidates is greatly reduced.

He knows his electorate, and it's not us...

It will depend on how the eliminations go. He would probably get Raab's supporters, for instance, but I don't think he would get Stewart's.

So let's see we have the official ten now: Gove, Johnson, Leadsom, McVey, Harper, Javid, Stewart, Raab, Hunt & Hancock. Well you can instantly rule out Leadweight and McVey and I would also say Stewart and Harper(who exactly is HE?) so the main protagonists can fight it out next.

Mark Harper is launching his leadership campaign this morning. The man who nobody knows used to be Chief Whip and was also an Immigration Minister - until it was revealed he had employed an illegal immigrant.

You really couldn't make it up how unfit for the job most of these candidates are.
