I seeing more and more stories where small businesses energy quotes are unworkable... I've just seen this one. £2,500 a week to £15,000

If the government doesn't act soon then there's not going to be any shops, bars, cafe's restuarants or any businesses.

only business still in any shape will be the electric companys

I feel this crisis can't be solved by Government alone, it's going to take a fair bit more than that, that's why I feel a cross - party committee needs to working on it and they come up with a plan that wins support right across the House. I think whatever Truss or Sunak suggests is barely going to screatch the surface let alone sniff it.
If there are any real serious brains in the House that can work together....

think a sausage factory was going from 78k to 700k, madness. Be more honest if they wore a mask and said stand and deliver

yeah it is a huge money maker prob keep half the shops in the front open esp the fish and chip shops and restaurants

mind you we could go back to how it was in 1879 when it first started with 8 Arc lights appanrelty arc lights were so good it was like daylight compared to gas lighting of the time

the fact that 40.8% of people in blackpool are claiming some sort of working age benefit highest in the country might be the only light they can afforf to see this winter

They won't be able to afford to cook anything anyway.
