If you go into a match minus a batsman then don't be surprised if you get bowled out cheaply.

On that surface they were a spinner short, Moeen was an option but they had difficulty in getting him into the attack with the right handers being prevalent especially with Rohit & SKY at the crease. With hindsight, slow left armer Hartley would've been a better option than the under-bowled Curran. Jacks was also an alternative as the extra batter & could've bowled an over or 2. The only other batting option would've been Duckett who is actually one of the better players of slow bowling.
No complaints really, totally outplayed, yes India got 10 or 15 more than we wanted but just not at the races with the bat.

Potentially a great Final with the 2 best teams, hopefully South Africa don't think that they have already reached their goal after winning a World Cup Semi Final for the first time in 18 attempts. India must start as favourites.

After Kohli took on Jansen in the first over, South African won the 6 over Power Play at 45-3 with Rohit, Pant & SKY all out.
Promoting Axar has proved fruitful, as he has hit a couple over the ropes, Kohli will look to bat through from this point I imagine.75-3 after 10 overs.

Very little in it at the six over stage, it still seem a big ask to chase 178 down against the India bowling attack.

A great Final. Klaasen put South Africa within touching distance, but they fell away once he was dismissed.
