Just to be clear, as I seem to have nodded off and missed something - Big Nige has been democratically elected leader of Reform, by the process set out in their party constitution, correct.
And he has then been nominated by the party through their appropriate process to be their candidate in Clacton, right.

All democratic and above board, absolutely no showboating or headline grabbing or self interest or any such thing!

BBC R4 Today - Election 2024: Tories and Farage clash on migration

1hr & 9 mins into the programme Mishal Hussein interviews Farage, she tries to pin him down on what qualifies as unskilled migration, she lists a wide range of occupations to which he replies "in limited numbers" to all of them.

Problem is when you add up all those limited numbers it amounts to quite a large number. Farage says that Reforms target is net migration at zero, Hussein points out that around half a million people left the UK last year so for that to be the case there would still need to be large numbers coming in, Farage agrees and accepts that the number of migrants coming into the UK under his plan would be about 600k a year.

Hussein then presses him on a pledge on the Reform website for people being detained in British Overseas territories whilst their applications are processed, she points out that would include places like Gibraltar, The Falklands, Turks & Caicos etc asking how that would work to which he replies that it is unworkable. Hussein responds its your policy, Farage replies that it isn't, Hussein asks why its on The Reform website & Farage says I only became leader yesterday completely glossing over the fact that he has been party President the whole time.
