Katie Boulter and Heather Watson have progressed to the last eight in the women's doubles tennis beating Brazilian pair Beatriz Haddad Maia and Luisa Stefani
6-3 6-4.
The all round individual gymnastics is coming to a conclusion and it's tight for the medals. Jake Jarman and Joe Fraser throwing the kitchen sink at it but will it prove to be enough to avoid the dreaded 4th place finish again?
The tense wait for others to complete their programmes will feel like an eternity.
4th avoided but in the wrong direction. 5th!!

There's some great events in the Olympics, athletics, cycling, rowing etc but I can't understand how they can include walking. They certainly are not walking. The event needs dropping.

Strange one alright. Think as long as a foot is in contact with the ground at all times it's "walking". Bizarre.

Rowing finals underway starting with the women's double sculls.
An amazing BRONZE for Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne and Becky Wilde who pushed off hard and held it together superbly.
