RE: Dr Who - *Kal-El* - 05-06-2017 18:50 Watched five eps in and not really feeling it. The cast and acting has been good but the storylines just ok. I know probably the only one on here with that view. RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 11-06-2017 07:08 Pretty average, though better than I recall that last Ice Warrior story being. Larded with unnecessary continuity references though. RE: Dr Who - *Kal-El* - 11-06-2017 07:56 The Eaters of Light Trailer: https://youtu.be/UlwvGVPY2wk RE: Dr Who - biggles - 11-06-2017 10:25 At no point did I feel the Dr or Bill were in danger - "oh your our friend, but these soldiers aren't" Good to see the Alpha Centurian (?) linking to the Jon Pertwee era. Ice Warrior weapon was an interesting effect. Overall a bit average. RE: Dr Who - ShandyHand - 14-06-2017 16:49 "Change my dear, ... not a moment too soon." ? With the new Doctor apparently cast (RTD blabbed on Sunday promoting an awards ceremony)... On comes Chibnall's first comments on his vision for the show - a radical and daring five year plan that will return the show to a broader family audience - or some such vagaries! ... Already in pre-production, filming on his era begins in November. https://rts.org.uk/article/chris-chibnall-man-who-reinvented-cliffhanger Personally, I still think the (male) doc will be young and handsome enough for a tabloid friendly 'will they wont they' with the feitsy and independent but still, charming with slight vulnerabilty, sexpot companion! Anything "radical" will lie in the story telling rather than characterisations. I hope the production budgets can look forward to the fruits of this Chinese investment too: http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/worldwide/2017/doctor-who-china Let's have no more ever so frugal gap years BBC. RE: Dr Who - wackawoo - 15-06-2017 00:41 Goodness I have just caught up with PC Who, what on earth is going on with this team? are they making it as bad as they can out of spite? With it being the last series of Moffat, capaldi, gomez, gatiss, I thought this series would have been spectacular and it's been shite. RE: Dr Who - wackawoo - 18-06-2017 01:33 Well, looks like PC Who is goign to be appalliung to the end. Who'd a thunk the Romans were so enlightened. RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 18-06-2017 14:11 Competent enough, but pretty dull this week. Things don't look to be improving next week either. RE: Dr Who - biggles - 18-06-2017 15:34 Well that was no Robot of Sherwood! Though did seem to rip off the film Outlander. RE: Dr Who - ShandyHand - 21-06-2017 15:12 Moffat and Gatiss will team up again for a new version of Dracula on BBC TV once they have finished solo projects: http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/sherlock-team-reuniting-for-dracula-series-1202472312/ |
