The Battle of Hastings didn’t take place in Hastings. Famous Battle of Hastings actually took place 7 miles from Hastings in a town that is today known as Battle.

I'm doing this from memory. I remember reading about this once.
Did you know that in the porn industry in the 1970's they had various tricks they used to fool customers into thinking that what they saw was actually happening. For example in some porn films(and I hasten to add I was far too young to have ever seen anything like this) apparently to simulate cum they would use wallpaper paste! Apparently nowadays if the man can't cum they use other viscous material like hand cream!
