Nottingham Forest's appeal for points deduction rejected.

I'm one of the Hammers fans who prefers them to get good results than play good, open football all the time. I'm pleased with what Moyes has done for us, getting us into Europe 3 years in a row, even winning a European trophy. I didn't want him to go but no use crying over spilt milk. Julen Lopetegui has the pedigree, being an ex-Real Madrid and Spain manager, and if confirmed, I'll be looking forward to see what he does for us next season.

It's weird when so many clubs seem to expend managers at a rate of knots, that you sometimes get stories like this, where Moyes has been at WHU for years (I remember being similarly stunned previously when Fat Sam Allardyce left there, after 4 years). This is probably a by-product that John Lyall was manager when I was first getting into football, and had apparently been the manager since Methuselah was in short trousers.

I agree Doddle, the rate of knots clubs go through managers at present seems to show that longer service a manager is a rare thing in football now. I still feel Moyes was badly let down by WHU after what he has done there & I wish him the best for the future. I get the feeling so many clubs will have new men in their hot seats next & I feel the expectation of hitting the ground running on the opening day will be key to so many clubs' season unddr a new manager.

Moyes seems to have taken it well, so maybe he'd had enough.
BBC had a pointed statistic:

Mutual agreement means that Roberto de Zerbi will leave Brighton after their final match of the season against Manchester Utd.

i like all the man united fans suddenly think he was going to united

According to Fabrizio Romano
Vincent Kompany could be on list for the Bayern job
RE: Football Banter - lovebabes56 - 21-05-2024 09:42
I get the feeling most prem clubs could go for De Zerbi if he doesn't go abroad
RE: Football Banter - HannahsPet - 21-05-2024 11:11
they are saying he has signed with an unknown club
