Team GB nearly made a shock early exit after defeat to the fearsome, er, Kazakhstan, but they rallied to a shock whitewash over Spain, and made it to the semi-finals. At this point it was said this was GB's best showing for 41 years, which makes the "shock exit" story look a bit thin ("GB do about as well as usual" presumably is less clickworthy). GB battling Australia right this minute. |
