Carsley made a spectacular error against Greece the other night, and it backfired. I think he knows now he can't afford to try it again tomorrow night, but if he does and we lose again, I just wonder if that will finish any hopes of him landing the job full time.

Thomas Tuchel's in talks with the FA about the vacant England manager's job.

It's a cruel world lol.

Mind you it could be worse.... (if Ten Hag finds himself out of a job at any point in time)
I do get the feeling Carsley's biggest shortcoming is facing the media. He's not very comfortable with it, and by managing the under 21's that gives him that litttle bit of anonymity to get on with that job without the media scruitiny.
I think Tuchel probably would find it a far bigger job than he thinks it is, but whether he is good fit for England remains to be seen.

Given the history between the two, I think the referee will be having a very busy game for that one.

i actually think pep is considering it otherwise he would have put the rumours to bed but he didnt

Tuchel is now the New England manager

I think Tuchel needs to be able to develop the team as he wants without FA interference, but I think as long as he left to get on with the job we will see some improvement but I wish him well - its a tough job. I think his big plus that he comminicates well in media
Also the FA needs to also look at the process of ex - players getting coaches badges and see if there is any way it can be streamlined better in a way so we have not only good young coaches coming through that can develop into managers with the England job as a future ambition. When you see that the likes of Argetina & Spain and possibly Germany having good young coaches coming through their system and into their national team manager position, I'm often wondering if our process is hindering young coaches rather than developing them.
At least now Carsley can go back to managing the Under21's.
