RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Doddle - 23-03-2023 14:45 Miami Open a bit disappointing, with Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu going out in the 1st round (though she had a tough draw in Bianca Andreescu). RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - mikedafc - 04-04-2023 13:04 Wimbledon to allow Russian and Belarusian players to play Wimbledon under neutral nationality RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - mikedafc - 05-04-2023 16:03 Great to see Jodie Burrage winning 60K Croissu Beaubiurg tournament in France. Her first title in 4 finals at that level. Great to see Fram Jones back playing RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Doddle - 12-06-2023 21:06 Katie Boulter has replaced Emma Raducanu as British Women's #1. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Doddle - 15-06-2023 19:44 Boulter, Harriet Dart and Jodie Burrage have all reached the Quarter-finals of the prestigious, er, Nottingam Open. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Doddle - 16-06-2023 20:59 Boulter beat Dart, but Burrage also won through. Boulter will play Heather Watson, as Brits make up 75% of the semi-final line-up. Andy Murray is also through to the semis, though George Loffhagen lost his quarter-final in the decider. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Doddle - 17-06-2023 20:12 *deep breath* Boulter beat Watson, and Burrage beat Alize Cornet, setting up the first all-British WTA final since 1977. Andy Murray made the final, against a bloke who beat the bloke Murray beat in last week's final. Today's men's doubles final was between two all-British teams. Tomorrow's women's doubles final sees Dart & Watson go for the win. Raducan-who? indeed. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Charlemagne - 18-06-2023 10:56 Is the success in the Nottingham Open down to a resurgence of tennis in Britain, or is it that a lot of the World's top players are having a week off, or a weeks training on grass after the French Open. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Snooks - 18-06-2023 19:51 Katie Boulter won the battle of the Brits beating Jodie Burrage 6-3 6-3 to capture her maiden WTA title. Andy Murray sealed his second title in a few weeks with a straight sets win too.
