Ex Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has played professional football for over 20 years.
Yesterday was his last ever match and he was sent off for a foul.

That's how Ramos should go out not Reina.

If you think that England were bad last night, it was worse for Italy. They got beat by Norway which has lead to the sacking of their coach Luciano Spalletti.

Reminds me of that delirious but delightful commentator when we lost to Norway.... wonder if it was the same bloke last night?
RE: Football Banter - William H Bonney - 09-06-2025 00:24
No, he died in 1987.
As for Spalletti, he may have been sacked, but he's still been allowed another match in charge, on Monday.

As for last night - oh dearie me!
Even though it was only a friendly, Senegal got a real feather in their cap with that win, and Tuchel now has work to do put the game behind him and produce a far more killer instinctive team to get us through the rest of the Qualifiers. Winning just 1-0 is not going to be good enough. We may have won 1-0 last Saturday, but after that result last night, that probably told him and make him realise that not only you have be far more clinical up front, you also cannot afford to ship easy goals at the back as well at this level.

Premier League fixtures out tomorrow morning. I've not yet finished recovering from the misery of last season let alone start to think about fixtures for next season .

The first match has been announced for Burnley. It's against Spurs.
In their last 6 matches Burnley has won all 6 games, whereas Spurs has lost all but 1 game and that was a draw.
So what could go wrong
