It's totally the correct decision by the police.
It was the Maccabi Hoolingas who started the trouble in Amsterdam.
A hooligan group that has a rich history of anti arab racism. A repeat would have been on the cards here.
Smacks of Starmer playing playing Identity politics.
Not long after the attack on the Manchester Synagogue so he's probably afraid of being called Antisemitic or stirring it up.
So looks like a good Virtue signal is on the way, ignoring basics facts about the situation

After today's defeat to Chelsea, Nottingham Forest fired their head coach Ange Postecoglou. This marks the shortest tenure for a permanent Premier League manager sacked after zero wins in nine games.
39 days in the job, and fired 17 minutes after the end of the match.

The Nottingham Forest owner Mr. Evangelos Marinakis is considering appointing himself as interim manager of the club.
The club are going to have talks with Rafael Benitez this week.
But honestly who's foolhardy enough to work for this owner.

I'm amused that yesterday I read Roberto Mancini touting himself as a replacement for Ruben Amorim, and today he's supposedly instead a replacement for Postecoglou.
Luckily for Forest, it sounds like Graham Potter is off to manage Sweden (!)

Graham Potter is the new manager of the Sweden national team. He's tasked to reach the 2026 World Cup finals.

Forest look to be closing on Dyche. That leaves Benitez/Mancini to chase the Rangers gig maybe?

Tel aviv game called off after violence by fans must be the anti semtic isreali police to blame for being it being called off

Next manager to go will be Vitor Pereira.
But it won't do my lot any good cos Fosun have made the club such an unattractive proposition that nobody worth their salt would touch em with a barge pole.
I mean I'm a fan and even I would tell em to fuck off with the current ownership.
RE: Football Banter - Charlemagne - 20-10-2025 18:25
Sean Dyche has a verbal agreement with Forest.
I find that odd, Dyche has made a name as a manager who's style is defensive, and Forest have been set up as offensive team.
One man who will be delighted is Chris Wood. Sean likes a big striker and they have worked well together before.
I hope Sean's contract is water tight, as this owner doesn't treat his managers well
And owner Evangelos Marinakis had better watch his words as Sean doesn't respond well to nasty people.

Our politicians will ignore this violence and will still continue to push for Maccabi Tel Aviv fans to atttend Villa park so as not to appear anitsemitic.
Hopefully common sense prevails.
Hilarious statement by both clubs saying it wasnt their fans. Must have been paid actors in and around that stadium then eh.
