I know what Doddle is saying about the number of actors, but this isn't the same as the number of doctors. Continuity is important in the show and I feel it's appropriate to refer to the established sequence as specified in the show.

I apologize if this seems aggressive here. I'm just trying to settle the confusion about the number of doctors, I find it frustrating when people think there were more 'doctors' than there actually were.
It was established that he was the 11th when he started, but Hurt came along after that, and Moffat for his own reasons decided to use the other regen and claim that Matt was at the end of his cycle.

Anyway, Catherine Tate wasn't the Doctor, I think we can settle on that, so ner laugh

Doddle, for goodness sake give it a rest. You're wrong on your belief of the numbering, that's all I'm saying.

I've explained the chronology enough times now, but if you still don't see it there's no further point in me trying any more. Believe whatever you want, but everything I've stated is the established truth in the continuity of the show.

Peter Davison has expressed reservations about casting a woman, and Colin Baker has bit his head off (ah, a food metaphor for Colin, oh well).

John Barrowman wore a brilliant outfit at this year's San Diego Comic Con to show his support to Jodie

I'm with Colin Baker in this spat he's had with Peter Davidson.

Or not Wink:

Wonder if that was always going to be the case?

It makes Whittaker the highest paid female in a BBC drama I believe. Also one of the top couple of women being paid for one job there.

Not a fan of Dr Who,but I shall still offer some opinions...
Jodie Whitaker is a performer with a far greater acting range than the pedestrian Kris Marshall. Other possible female possibilities for me would have been the excellent Romola Garai or a lady with some sci-fi background the scrummy Hayley Atwell.
