RE: The "Pissed Off " Thread - SecretAgent - 04-07-2018 18:31 Popped out to the local M&S Simply food to get something for dinner. Total spend £9.56 and on my way back home 20 minutes after setting off. Then disaster - punctured tyre. From getting the warning light on the car dashboard saying the tyre was deflating it was flat as a pancake within 2 minutes. By the time the RAC had arrived (my car does not have a spare tyre) and fitted a temp tyre to get me to the local Kwikfit 2 hours had passed. Cost of new tyre £196. Wish I’d stayed in and had cheese on toast instead RE: The "Pissed Off " Thread - Carl-Gen X - 05-07-2018 08:14 (04-07-2018 18:31 )SecretAgent Wrote: Popped out to the local M&S Simply food to get something for dinner. Wish I’d stayed in and had cheese on toast instead I wouldn't use Kwikfit if you paid me. Absolute rip off merchants. £196 for a tyre? That doesn't surprise me. Last year my car needed new tyres and those cowboys at Kwikfit quoted me £509 for a set of tyres (a brand I've never heard of)..told them to fuck right off. Got them done elsewhere for £240 odd - and they were the dogs bollocks. Avoid Kwikfit like the plague. Rude, dismissive and arrogant with zero customer service. To be fair to them they were not rude or any of the things you said One positive is that it was the first (and only time I hope) I'd had to use the emergency assistance button in my car. Got an immediate response and they knew via the cars sat nav my precise location as I had no idea what the road was called. Timing wise you were unlucky, otherwise you could have got a better deal no problem. RE: The "Pissed Off " Thread - Charlemagne - 16-07-2018 06:46 After weeks of top sporting action Wimbledon has finished, The winner of the World Cup has been decided, it's a rest day on the Tour Du France. There's no sport to look forward to today. I'll be expected to catch up on all the work that I've ignored over the past month RE: The "Pissed Off " Thread - kelly1066 - 16-07-2018 20:40 (05-07-2018 08:14 )Carl43a Wrote: I wouldn't use Kwikfit if you paid me. Halfords are as bad imho. Got towed by AA to one of their service centres couple of months back, ending up with a £345 to fix the problem; but on speaking to a local garage few days later found the job was only half that price at most anywhere else.... Rip of merchants, likely in league with the AA & their stranded motorists. Not to mention they took a day longer fixing the problem than agreed, & they even 'lost' my car in the meantime...!!
