I would agree it will be a job to over haul Labour whoever takes over. I'd say Truss probably would alienate more Tory voters than Sunak (but I could be wrong both wouldn't make much of dent in Labour's lead) be interesting to see how far behind Tories are when the result is announced & I don't expect that Labour lead to increase much either.

The other thing is, it did seem like Truss still hasn't fully explained how her plan would work (I doubt either has a plan B or C id plan A fails to halt inflation) or where she would get the extra money when one of her supporters on Stephan Nolan's show last nifht couldn't eaxplain where she would raise the extra as he pointed out that Tax cuta don't really benefit anyone.

As long as he's still taking the salary (taxpayers money) he should still be doing the job.

Even if he's shit at it.

I can never understand how gullible some of the Torys have been.

He will always be compared to Churchill

Winston Churchill: 'We shall fight on the beaches'

Boris Johnson: 'We shall shite on the beaches'

Boris fruitcakes have the same mentality as the Trump cultists, they buy into the man and excuse all the very visible flaws, lies and deceit, deluding themselves into believing that he's ''not part of the establishment'', even though one's a connected toff, the other a billionaire and neither are a man of the people in any way, shape or form. Alternatively they buy into the agenda, whether it be the whole right-wing racist ''America First'' ideology and the faux religious conservatism, or the Brexit ideology that went nowhere (not that they can admit it), and the EU making those scary foreigners come for our jobs, you know, that people can't or don't want to do, but still moan about it. The press and social media are complicit in these failures, particularly the anti EU nonsense here, it's all about tax avoiding and fear mongering for profit, cashing in on peoples worst fears and stoking the hate within others.

But hey, try having a reasonable fact based discussion with any of the most loyal followers of either man/ideology, it goes nowhere!
