RE: **Ultimate Babe 2011** - Discussion, suggestions, opinions... - Roquentin - 09-11-2011 02:46 Thought I would post the list of the top 16 (17 due to a tie in votes) who got through in 2010 (for comparison soon enough). Due to the system they weren't seeded by popularity. Interesting to see this year how the head to heads go down, if they will follow the seeded order from the first round or not. *Top 16 Ultimate Babes 2010* Dannii Harwood Lilly Roma Camilla Delta White Tiffany Chambers Ashley Emma Sophia Knight Kandi Caty Cole Mica Martinez Paige Tyler Georgie Darby Lolly Badcock vs. Lucy Summers Danica Daryl Morgan Tori Lee Here is the list of the next 16 (17, again a tie) that made up the top 32. Maybe some of these names will be moving up to top 16 this year. *Top 17-32 Ultimate Babes 2010* Tommie Jo vs. Charlie O'Neal Ella Jolie Dionne Mendez Dionne Daniels Jasmine Jones Donna Duke Annie Mullah Kali Garcia Michelle Thorne Reede Fox Hazel Bond Candy Sexton Lori Buckby Amanda Rendall Emily Dean RE: **Ultimate Babe 2011** - Discussion, suggestions, opinions... - bigglesworth - 09-11-2011 09:02 (09-11-2011 00:27 )half man half horse Wrote: The regulator must contact the voter and seek clarification. RE: **Ultimate Babe 2011** - Discussion, suggestions, opinions... - Scotsman - 09-11-2011 18:26 If people don't have the smarts to clearly indicate who they're voting for then I'm not going to be PM'ing them all to find out who they meant. RE: **Ultimate Babe 2011** - Discussion, suggestions, opinions... - Whatdoumean - 09-11-2011 19:07 Why is it not the case that who ever the top babe is on saturday is the winner, seem simpler and fairer? RE: **Ultimate Babe 2011** - Discussion, suggestions, opinions... - Scotsman - 09-11-2011 19:17 But less fun. If the girl who is top on Saturday is the most popular, then she'd win anyway. Not necessarily fairer. It's all a matter of opinion. You're essentially arguing in favour of the first past the post system, but the winner in such a system might only have a small share of the overall vote. There's no objective proof that such a system would be fairer, so as I said it's all a matter of opinion. Maybe there should have been a full list of candidates to be marked in order of preference, then the last one eliminated and her votes redistributed, then the last one again eliminated and her votes redistributed etc until someone had over 50% of the vote. You can argue that would be fairer because someone would have to have an overall majority in order to end up as the winner. RE: **Ultimate Babe 2011** - Discussion, suggestions, opinions... - Snooks - 09-11-2011 20:20 Whatever system was used for the competition format it would never have pleased everyone. Forgive my cynicism but it seems that if someones favourite babe loses out then it must be the fault of the voting system and the whole thing is a fix. This is a democratic bit of fun, the fate of the universe does not depend on babe a or babe b making at least the semi finals. Every year there seems to be gripes about the format, maybe the next move is to have a forum wide vote on the voting system but then we would need to decide on what voting system to use for that vote too, where would it all end? I don't think Whatdoumean was complaining of a fix, he was just raising a question, that's all. RE: **Ultimate Babe 2011** - Discussion, suggestions, opinions... - Snooks - 09-11-2011 21:26 I was not referring to Whatdoumean , just making a general point in the light of years of gripes in this competition. RE: **Ultimate Babe 2011** - Discussion, suggestions, opinions... - Whatdoumean - 09-11-2011 22:23 Im not a fan of any one babe, so it was just a question, |
