That's precisely what i believe to be true. I suspect it to be human incompetence. I can't believe that technology that works fine one day, suddenly stops working the next. Looks like people who can't do their jobs competently to me, which leads to p**sing people like me off unfortunately. Anyone know the company email address for the company that does these webstreams so i can complain direct as things just don't seem to be getting resolved by moaing on here? RE: TValways - Shandy - 19-04-2009 20:44 I know that George takes alot of feedback from the forum about the stream and works to resolve the problems as and when they can, he seems a very competent guy to me and from my technical knowledge, webstreams are not a simple thing, i've got a degree in web media and i know its a complex thing. there's server side stuff, bandwith issues and all sorts to deal with. i think the company is firestorm media tho. I would believe that to be true if it wasn't for the fact that other webstreams (http://www.sexstationtv.com and partyland.tv) are working fine at present. It doesn't make sense that they work fine and the tvalways.com one doesn't. After all, they are all the same company webstreams i believe (as they use the same girls), it's just that some work better than others (the sexstation.tv one seems the most reliable), and when the others don't work it's as if they haven't been switched on at all. It's not as if the streams are working but have a poor performance resulting from poor technology performance, it's just that they have not been switched on. Therefore, it looks like human incompetence, and it's happening way to often for my liking. RE: TValways - Shandy - 19-04-2009 22:23 i think the current problem is just down to the fact that it didn't switch over from 1 feed to the other, sexstation & partyland are just from the 1 feed. well thats my theory. i have heard the sexstation stream has had a bunch of issues over the last few weeks too, so its not just the 1 thats fine. the problems before that stemmed from the night feed, as durin the day it seemed to be the most reliable stream around. thats my personal thoughts and view anyway. from something that george had said, i wonder if the problem may be in the studio and not on the webfeed end, so could be human error at cellcasts end. am sure when he's in the chatroom tomorrow, someone will find out. plus it could equally be technological incompetantce. hardware & software ain't perfect. RE: TValways - Jonnieboy - 20-04-2009 22:23 Tonight's problem is that the feed freezes once every 4 or 5 seconds . The refresh problem is gone and it connects ok, but I don't see how they expect web users to ring in with this stop/go/stop/go feed. RE: TValways - G@Z! - 20-04-2009 22:30 yep i noticed that too pity jade and charlie was on never gave it enough time to find out who the third was oh wait i did its rachel ok i just looked RE: TValways - Shandy - 20-04-2009 22:31 runs ok on mine............... Might work better in an hour or two. RE: TValways - Shandy - 20-04-2009 23:07 soz, was in a cheeky mood. i have noticed that it seems to run better in safari on my PC than it does in firefox & ie if that helps RE: TValways - G@Z! - 20-04-2009 23:10 yep my small glitch has gone too which is nice it don't like it when more then one stream is running at the same time |
