I don't understand why they reduced the bill, he made the call.
My gas bill is a lot higher this year, can I have it reduced, not my fault it was colder.

Maybe they realised they were never going to get £91,000 out of him anyway, so they were willing to reduce it to something they thought they had a chance of getting.

No chance of that being true. Vodafone are taking a big loss on this. Allowing someone to run up a bill like that has really cost them.

Guessing there's gonna be a hell of a lot of huge bills run up over the next few months.
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. It's giving people carte blanche to run up silly bills.
If i was them i'd have hounded him to prison, failing that someone owing me 91 grand and not paying it back would meet with an accident. That would send the right message out.

This sounds very believable, as looking at the various press articles on this story Kev says that he was usually on the line for 11 hours a day, but that his record was 22 hours in one day.
Why didn't he attend a sperm doner clinic that day? He could have got a few quid back to help pay for the calls.
