The lionesses can be very proud of how they did. Hope it gives womens football in the UK a big long term boost

The Lionesses deserved to win and as usual we go out due to a cruel event - This is the furthest they have gone and will do wonders for the Women's game in the UK - Just a shame the time it was televised stopped more people from watching.

I think even if they finish fourth they can be proud of their journey in Canada and if the England Men's cricket team don't do well certainly should be yup for the team of the year awards at the BBC Sports bash at the end of the year!!

Should giving them plenty to build on for the next women's European championships

England's third-place play-off against Germany is a 9pm kick-off tomorrow night.

The USA v Japan final on Sunday doesn't start until midnight.

England have never beaten Germany in 20 attempts and haven't scored against them in the world cup (0-3 in 1995, 0-0 in 2007).

England doing themselves proud atm matching the Germans and perhaps taking control of the game

Great effort from the Lionesses against the Germans.
Into extra time at 0-0.
Why do I get this crippling sense of inevitability that it will all be in vain HuhRolleyes.
Come on England.
