Really? Some balls kept quite low on Friday. Since variable bounce has been apparent as early as the second day, I suspect that the pitch isn't necessarily as good as you make out.

566 for 8 dec would say otherwise, there is always going to be some assistance for the bowlers on the first morning of test match no matter how good the pitch is, the one at lords is a prime example of getting through the opening spell and then making hay while the sun shines.

In 2006 England made 551/6 declared at Adelaide and went on to lose the match.

The number of previous occasions that Australia have set the opposition a 500+ target to win is 27. They won 26 and drew once.

Dont know why but feel this is will be a draw.

On 2nd thoughts seeing the weather at lords and the fact that England have to bat 5 sessions and theres no chance of rain hmmmm im not sure

Worrying for the Australians that Chris Rogers had to retire hurt after experiencing a dizzy spell. He was hit on the helmet by Jimmy Anderson on day 2.
