Belgium comfortably win their group after 2-0 win over Finland. Yet another own goal in the tournament (Hradecky of Finland) and a cool Lukaku finish get the job done, Denmark through in second after 4-1 win over Russia.

Denmark play Wales next, Belgium will play a best third placed side. Harsh on Finland who I thought defended excellently but Belgium's class saw them through in the end. They could still qualify as a best third place but face an anxious wait over the next few days.

Netherlands and Austria qualify from their group, Ukraine face a wait aswell to see if they're a best third placed.

These results also mean that England is already qualified as one of the best third placed teams — or better.

This is an opportunity for Southgate. He should take it to test some changes that he wouldn’t necessarily have made if qualification was still in the balance.

I refer you to the following quoted paragraph from the initial OP of the comp as below:

'Please state the minute of matches in which the first goal and last goal of the round robin phase is scored. I have specifically chosen the round robin phase for these two numbers because there is no extra time in this phase.'

The only way it could fail is if there were no goals at all in the entire round robin group phase with every single match finishing 0-0.

Germany captain Manuael Neuer was under investigation by UEFA for wearing a rainbow armband during the games.

But common sence rules as they decided that the armband is a sign for diversity rather than a political statement

But maybe he doesn't want to qualify by finishing 3rd in the group.

Anyway, what a goal by Andreas Christensen for Denmark. It's not often you see a centre back do something like that. Note - hasn't scored for Chelsea in 127 appearances.

In a freakishly North Korean move, the Government is actively promoting the One Britain, One Nation campaign, which has declared June 25 a National Unity Day, with an anthem that has the following lyrics:

We are Britain
And we have one dream
To unite all people
In one great team (repeat)

Strong Britain, Great Nation
Strong Britain, Great Nation
Strong Britain, Great Nation
Strong Britain, Great Na-a-tion

[There’s more, but it’s all crap…]

But I’m mentioning it here because I heard about this absurd campaign at the same time that Croatia scored and Wembley sang — in one great unified voice — Scotland’s going home, Scotland’s going home, ….

Doesn’t feel like our national divisions are going to be bridged with a silly song.

Well at least they don't have far to travel this time.
