Former Pakistan Test cricketer & prime minister Iran Khan was shot when an unidentified gunman opened fire on the truck carrying him during his protest rally in Pakistan's Punjab province.

He was shot in the right leg.

I see that it's the G20 meeting this week from Bali. This follows the Cop27 meeting from Charm el-Cheikh in Egypt.

Peru's president Pedro Castillo has been ousted. He tried to dissolve the opposition led Congress and replace it with an "emergency government" as they were going to impeach him on allegations of corruption. They ignored that order to dissolve and impeached him anyway. 101 out of 117 voted to impeach. Now been replaced as Vice President Dina Boluarte has been sworn in and is the first female president of Peru.

On my way back from the shops the radio was stating that there's an onion shortage in the Phillipines. The price of red onions is the same as a chicken in weight terms.

And one of things that I had picked up from the shops was red onions sets. So I'm quids in if I go to the Phillipines in the autumn. Big Grin
