Chris Hoy is predicting that Jason Kenny could win 3 gold medals at the velodrome.

Silver for Team GB in the mens Rugby 7s.
Fiji convincingly too good in the end.
But an excellent campaign from GB nonetheless Smile.

Elsewhere Jamie Murray and Jo Konta have been knocked out of the mixed doubles tennis by American pair Jack Sock and Bethanie Mattek-Sands. But Andy Murray and Heather Watson are through after a win over David Ferrer and Carla Suarez-Navarro of Spain.

Guess what?
Yet another 4th place finish for a Brit Rolleyes
Gutted for Chloe Tutton in the 200m breaststroke. Agonising stuff. Lost out by such a tiny margin Sad.

have to say glad fiji won the 7's for the islands first ever medal glad we won silver even better when you think thatits made up of 3 teams and that they only had 2 months to get it together against teams who have been together for years

The track and field events start today. Both Jessica Ennis-Hill and Katarina Johnson-Thompson will start in the Heptathalon

The womens 100 m freestyle swimming ended in a dead heat, so there were 2 gold medals awarded, and one bronze.
The medals are all engraved with the name of the event so that means the silver can't be used for anything else. That would make a good collector's item - "the medal that wasn't won"

42 year old inspiration to go this afternoon in the 10,000m final namely Jo Pavey.
And of course Jess and KJT too in the heptathlon.

First event: 100m hurdles....................

KJT: 13.48 seconds
Ennis Hill: 12.84 seconds.

Next up: High Jump

RE: Olympics - Tractor boy - 12-08-2016 13:15

Excellent start from golden girl Jess, KJT looked a bit nervous, but thankfully they are both through unscathed.

Charlotte Dujardin also in action in the dressage.
Gold medal winner from 2012.
