The viewers watch, quite a few call the shows buy the videos text the show and all that. It is not up to the viewers to make sure babe show bosses still have a business to run if you think its not down the channels its only because you work for them.

If people are watching, calling, texting etc, then there is still a business there, so why do the channels need to take Ofcom on? If they have a sustainable business within the rules and restrictions laid down why should they risk a battle with the regulator? Sure they may get more business with harder content, but maybe not, times are hard, it's a recession, maybe it would be no different. Thing is, we simply don't know the economic situation the channels are in, we don't know if revenues have fallen as the shows have become tamer, and if it has, by how much, and is it as a result of the tamer shows or just the wider economic situation.
If the shows can still make profit in these tamer times, then where is the incentive for anyone to challenge Ofcom, surely better to play by the rules, avoid fines, and carry on making money.
I'd guess things can't be that tough for the channels, as they are all still in business, and not only that, but the likes of Eurotic have seen fit to move into the UK market and abide by Ofcom restrictions.

I'd gladly see a return to harder shows, proper 241's etc, but if the channels are making money as is, then they are unlikely to see a need to challenge things. If their business does start really struggling, maybe then they will make a stand, but that doesn't seem to be the case right now.

As much as want less censored/uncensored shows, I agree with munch. If business is going well enough, which it seems to be, regardless of lack of calls at times, they have no incentive to challenge Ofcon.

I can't say I disagree with them either.

Rammy Posted this bladewave

if your this hostile towards the babeshows why do you effin keep watching them as for why jamie hasnt challenged the babeshows he's said why, its not worth the time effort, money and hassle to challenge ofcom (this is probably the same for the other channels). so everyone here who wants the babechannels to challenge ofcom will have to put their money where their mouth is and challenge ofcom themselves regarding the babeshows

as for the babeshows throwing out the rulebook and doing shows in a blaze of glory, that wont happen as the babeshows will get fined etc and ultimately get taken off air and they wont risk that. as blackjaques has said, ofcom wont be relaxing the rules for the shows anytime soon. so the babeshows are going to be like how they are at the moment whether we like it or not

wouldnt surprise me that in a couple of years all the babeshows go online to avoid ofcom's rules

Well fair point Rammy if it was consistent with your views but it ain't, one minute you're all up for ridding the world of ofcom and censorship aswell as apparently supporting the petition, however I've noticed recently you've dropped it from your signature.

Make your mind up which side of the fence you are sitting on here, you rave on about Elite all the time like it was the greatest show on earth, recently you came out with a ridiculas statement by saying that Elite trounced all the rest of the channels last week when in actual fact it was as shit as it's ever been.

One thing I will give credit to Elite for is it probably has the best looking models out of all the channels but that don't mean jack shit for the product on show, it's a bit of eye candy, but it's hardly what you'd call wank material, let's not fool ourselves here, that's really exactly why the watch the babe shows each night, I mean it's hardly for the plot now is it Blush

Also the babe channel rules are never going to relax either unless somebody starts to kick up fuck about it so Jamie's stance on it with regard to Elite doesn't hold any water other than showing a bit of honesty like most will continue to do fuck all about it.

When you say we all have to remain patient, the very meaning of the word here means that the reason we might do so is for the greater knowledge that changes will not be far away, don't kid yourself. Unless ofcom are challenged the word patience isn't even a word when using it for the babe channels.

I stand by my initial post, rip the fucking rule book up and burn it whether ofcom like it or not.

Patience gets you nowhere, actions speak louder. If you are against fascist ofcom then you have to come out fighting and take a few gambles and risks.

Sure ofcom might pull the bloody lot of them if they suddenly air stronger material but on the other hand they might just cave in.

All the babe channel execs need to get together, arrange a meeting and put all their resources into a courtroom battle against these bastards if it all backfires badly.

But sitting on your arse doing fuck all ain't going to get you any positive results.

Why is everyone getting their knickers in a twist about this! Its not the fault of the channels they are on an unencrypted channel which anyone can watch and politically Ofcom have to be seen to protect those who should not be watchimg these channels. If I want something harder tubestation.com works fine on my big screen.

A collection of the channels getting together wont work either cause they are making money! We are still calling them so they have no compelling event at the moment to change.

I share the sadness of what used to be a couple of years but it wont change in this government and thats for sure. We still cant see full on fucking on the Adult Channel and TVX so the babechannels have no chance.

RE: Ofcom Discussion - Scottishbloke - 21-06-2012 22:00

Well ofcourse I'm going to disagree with you on that one, what a load of shit ofcom having to be seen to protect the minors from the oh fuck wait a minute the vagina, the minge, the cunt, the wizards sleeve, how ever you wish to call it.

Yeah sure...........fair point, well done ofcom, what a contradiction but however we'll air Spencer Tunick's naked states on SKY ARTS on a Sunday afternoon instead then.

Meanwhile back at babe channels HQ, all is silent, despite the fact they are protected allready in the 900+ section.

No fuck that about us getting our knickers in a twist, I think we've every right to do so.

I say the channel execs should grow a set of balls, funny that the very thing we're not allowed to see is the way they are acting, like a bunch of pussys.

Did I say fuck ofcom oh yes I did but I'll say it again fuck ofcom.

Ofcom can go and get fucked.

RE: Ofcom Discussion - Scottishbloke - 21-06-2012 22:25

At the end of the day is this not an adult show for an adult audience, if the answer is yes then we should see such an airing take place.

It's fucking embarrassing, will kids be watching this show as ofcom clearly think, fuck no Wink

What if they were Surprised Big fucking deal, they might learn something, infact the best way for a kid to learn about sex is by watching a porno, why you ask.

Because that way he'll know to shoot his load over the womens tits rather than up the pussy, that way we'll have less teenage pregnancies Big Laugh
