Well let's hope as SB has mentioned that Ed Richards gets the job at the bbc, maybe and I mean maybe then things will start to change in our favour. Look I'm not saying all the problems are going to go away in an instant, however I would prefer that tosser to be elsewhere rather than be at Ofcom. We must all think positive thoughts guys, I no its easy to be gloomy about the future prospects, however for me, Ed Harris if he gets the job will I believe be a positive move in the right directionSmile

Also we still have to keep complaining or else nowt will get done..My daughter teenage nudist is on More 4 11.10pm tonight so i am complaining to ofcom and channel 4..I want this programme cut to shreds its sexist as hell..

You do not expect to tune into a programme about parakeets and end up with a full documentary about elephants do you??? Well i will sodding well going to kick up a fuss are they going to do "My son the teenage nudist" and feature it full of female genatalia and NOT one penis..No..

There have been hundreds of penises since Xmas alone on freeview aND NO FANNYS ,,SO PISSED OFF ..Programme after documentary on penises they want it to become the norm..Well i am here to make sure it does NOT become the norm.Sexist cunts ofcom are and as i have said they wont show female genatalia becuse it breaks ofcom rules well they are sexist because they show these documentarys and thats what i point out...These channels show the products so they are as sexist as ofcom they should say no ..So bloody sodding mad today with Sparticus blood and sand on last night fullon prolonged close ups of penises yet and fanny was overlooked ,,fuck offffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff.

Thanks to Fedup for saving me the effort of watching Spartacus. What about the Borgias on Sky Atlantic? Any good? Remake or repeat?

However much the unfairness annoys me I am not sure that asking for cuts is the way forward. Its one thing to say it does not do what it says on the tin, quite another to give The Haters At Riverside House more ammunition. Complaints allow them to say they have had X many complaints about sex on TV and use it as a justification to clamp down on adult shows.

Independent inspection would show the complaints were about penises on mainstream shows before midnight, not fannies on sex channels after midnight, but these people are not subject to any kind of independent scrutiny.

Will any paper take up the cause?

The Express is owned an encrypted channel owner, if he was going to fight he would have done years ago.
Same for The Star.
The Sun? Murdoch is unpopular enough as it is, and when did Page 3 ever make it on to Sky 1?
The Times? Dubious unless there is a scandal with a named villain at the end. Meaning someone on the take or blatantly breaking the rules. However much we may dislike Ofcom decision makers they think they are doing the right thing.
The Telegraph? If anything they would like tighter censorship and horse whipping.
The Guardian? Too into womens rights.
The Independent? Too boring.
The Spectator? Happy to criticise censorship abroad but not really their thing at home.
New Statesman? Too into bashing the channel owners.
The Lady? Any volunteers to ask Rachel?
Big Issue? No TVs under arches.
Radio Times? Not known for campaigning (apart from Dr Who)
Time Out? Too gay.
Peoples Friend? The readers would forget.
Cosmo? Perhaps, who knows what it is like these days.

Any suggestions on a postcard to the usual address.

The good news is that the final 3 could become the final 4 or even the final 8. We should know by this time next week.

Lack of broadcasting experience and association with the Labour party count against him, though Maraduke Hussey did a good job. Whats needed is a political heavyweight who can go 10 rounds with politicians then go back to the office and go 10 rounds with unions and troublesome execs. Or a highly experienced broadcaster.

With the greatest respect, whoever is in charge at Ofcom isn't going to make a blind bit of difference to the way they operate.

In fact, it's far more positive that most of the UK's female population seem to have gone ga ga over 50 Shades of Grey than any change in Ofcom's management would be.

At least a change in the prevailing attitudes to sex in this country is more likely to come about from the former.

RE: Ofcom Discussion - continental19 - 03-07-2012 11:44

Who ever would have thought in the 21st century that a woman's vagina would have caused so much controversy. We all no what a vagina looks like and we all no what it does, so what's the problem?annoyed Yet if you want to see a male penis well hey that's fair game Ofcom have no problems allowing the male sex organ being shown all over the placeHuh
It's Hypocrisy to the highest level, it's one rule for one and one rule for another unbelievable.

I'm at the stage now where all I'm thinking is fuck it let's just see what the future has in store for us. So we've had a reshuffle on the babe channels but it hasn't made a blind fuck of a difference. I was kind of kinda hoping that maybe eurotic might after this was done might buy up their own channel space but they made the wise choice probably by thinking no chance whilst ofcom are still lurking around waiting to pounce the fucking snakes they are.

Ed Richards getting the job at the BBC is still in the balance, if he doesn't get it he might just unleash a tirade of anger and he'll most likely take it out on the babe channels. Why you ask, easy answer to that one - the man is a fucking bastard that's why.

It's been rumoured that an announcement on the top BBC job could be revealed as early as the end of this week. I'll reserve judgement on the ofcom saga until this has reached a conclusion Cool

Well were you really expecting that much from a channel reshuffle anyway? Ofcom will still have their strong views on the Babe channels weather the channel reshuffle happened or not. A change of leadership at Ofcom, is the only hope
