RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - southsidestu - 22-10-2022 09:58 Priti Patel comes out for Boris RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - HannahsPet - 22-10-2022 10:06 they are getting the band back together RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - Skyline - 22-10-2022 10:59 RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - southsidestu - 22-10-2022 14:13 One thing that is working in his favour is that, as of now, the right of the party don't have a candidate, though not a member of their ilk by he delivered Brexit and put ERG big beasts like Rees Mogg, Braverman & Jenkins into the cabinet. The Tory press have been lukewarm towards Johnson, Charles Moore in the Telegraph (seen as an ally of Boris and highly influencial in the party) is telling him to sit this one lut and backs Sunak. Andrew Neil also calls for Sunak. Steve Barclay his former chief of staff has backed Sunak as has close adviser Lord Frost RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - Charlemagne - 22-10-2022 14:56 He's not even fit to be an MP. He's just flown back from a beach holiday. All the other MP's have been 'sitting' in Parliament. He's so arrogant he can't even to be bothered to attend the work that he's paid to do. Uxbridge and South Ruislip don't seem to have any representation in Parliament Apparently Boris was booed by the passengers when he boarded his flight back from the Dominican Republic to Gatwick. RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - dundeered - 22-10-2022 15:42 Apparently, he has reached the 100 MP threshold. However, they will not name the names of the MP’s who have nominated him? RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - Snooks - 22-10-2022 15:55 RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - southsidestu - 22-10-2022 16:52 The claims have been met with skepticism from inside the party. It could be a ploy to dissuade a right wing challenger. With 357 mps in parliament the most who can reach the 100 threshold is obviously 3. If Sunak (111) & Johnson have 200 + without declaring & Mourdant currently has 22, a fourth candidate would need the overwhelming majority of the remaining votes to get that 100 If he does not have those votes then it shows that surprise surprise he's the same old Boris. A liar. RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - lovebabes56 - 22-10-2022 16:52 (22-10-2022 15:42 )dundeered Wrote: Apparently, he has reached the 100 MP threshold. However, they will not name the names of the MP’s who have nominated him? That's how much contempt they have for the public. If they allow hin to stand three months after booting him out, they deserve a big kicking as & when they call an election. RE: The Dubious World of Boris Johnson - southsidestu - 22-10-2022 17:51 Kemi Badenoch comes out in favour of Rishi Sunak. That's a big name for him, did well in the MPs noms in July, polls well with the membership, a cabinet member and is seen from the right of the party particularly on cultural issues. |
