For once she makes a good point though. Boris backers were always using the GE as a personal mandate, rather than the actual party mandate, to endorse him. Surely the same ones should all be pushing for a similar mandate for the new leader in a general election.

I can't believe that a Rishi - Hunt leadership is the best that the Tories can come up with. We need a General Election.

The finishing line is actually 258 backers because only then is it impossible for another candidate to get 100.
