Thought i would let you guys know that there is gonna be a season 9 and the last ep of season 8 is called Doomsday, i wonder what this could be about lol.

they're doin their own interpretation.
in the DC universe, the smallville universe is one of the parallel earths as seen in the 52 series, part of the whole infinite crisis. its got its own canon now.

Not on tv, doubt that they'd over complicate the tv show. But it's been seen in the comics.
